In August 2008, we began with a fundamental question:
Why do so many Ayurveda students not pursue clinical practice after graduation?
We observed that their study of Ayurvedic texts often remained theoretical, without a clear bridge to practical clinical application. Instead of assigning blame, we sought to take positive, effective action. Together with the members of the Ayurveda Academy, we envisioned a program that could close this gap, transforming students' knowledge into clinical practice.

The program was named Sādhanam, inspired by the Charaka Samhita. Among the many words for treatment, "Sādhanam" stands out— "instrument" or "method." Knowledge of ayurveda is a powerful tool for maintaining health and treating illness. Our goal is to train the students how to wield this tool with skill, confidence, and compassion.
2008: The first Sādhanam was held for 30 students at Sri Sri College in Bangalore.
2012: We began accepting applications from Ayurveda students across India. Around 150 students participated.
2024: We proudly hosted nearly 300 students from all over India, supported by 40 dedicated volunteers from the Ayurveda Academy.
Applicant must be currently a bonafide student of BAMS curriculum at a recognized Ayurveda Medical College in India
'Sādhanam' aims at churning the 'Know How' of Ayurveda in its applied technology for Efficient Ethical and Clinical Practice for the well being of Society.
