Bridging Tradition and Modernity: Shaping Tomorrow’s Ayurveda Vaidyas
Ayurveda Academy, Seva and Samshodhana Kendra, presents Vishikhānupravesham —a thoughtfully curated ONE-YEAR Internship program designed for emerging Ayurveda Vaidyas. This immersive training integrates a rigorous study of classical Ayurveda shastra with their practical application in contemporary clinical contexts.
What is Vishikhānupravesham?
This programme gives interns hands-on experience in real Ayurvedic practice, focusing on both the study of classic texts and their use in modern clinics. Interns develop discipline, self-awareness, and gain a deeper understanding of their dharma (purpose) as healers in the Ayurvedic tradition.
The training helps them care for patients with compassion and teaches them to manage cases independently under expert guidance at the Academy's affiliated hospital. Through this comprehensive approach, participants become skilled Ayurvedic practitioners ready to serve with both knowledge and dedication.
What can I learn as Vishikhā?
Daily routine includes:
Yoga session
Mantra pathana
Bhagavadgeeta, Ashtanga Hrdaya Parayana
Attending OPD at Ayurveda Academy
Caring for the IPD Patients
Attending daily evening Study Circle Classes
Preparation of medicines
Discussion of various cases with other consultants
Why Vishikhānupravesham?
Under the mentorship of experienced physicians, Vishikhānupravesham offers a transformative journey from foundational knowledge to independent practice. It serves as a vital bridge between Shāstra (classical knowledge) and Tantra (practical application), preparing the next generation of Ayurveda Vaidyas to serve society with competence, integrity, and authenticity.
